ISL houses an extensive array of test equipment and tools for the electrical, mechanical, thermal, and optical characterization of the materials, devices, and systems. With strong expertise in experimental research, ISL also provides comprehensive services to both academic and industrial users.

A partial list of equipment in our lab is:

  • Vector netwok analyzers (up to 4GHz)
  • Signal/spectrum analyzers (up to 3GHz)
  • Seminconductor parameter analyzers (up to 200V)
  • Lock-in amplifiers (up to 600MHz)
  • Vibration testing (up to 10kHz)
  • Laser Doppler vibrometer (up to 24MHz)
  • Vacuum probe stations (down to 10µTorr and from 5K to 500K);
  • Modular test systems (PXIe based)
  • Noise and phase noise measurement.

Utilizing one of the best-equipped cleanrooms in Canada,we are able to develop and establish the entire microfabrication process flow, from material characterization and analysis to thin film deposition and etching and finally packaging within our facilities.
