Sensing is at the heart of research in our laboratory. We work to understand the fundamental mechanisms behind interacting physical and chemical domains, exploit unequaled properties of nanomaterials, design and fabricate devices that take advantage of this knowledge, and finally, process the signals from these devices and deliver complete sensing systems.

We have developed and delivered solutions for following applications among others:

  • Automotive
  • Wearables
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Smart fibres and textile
  • Mining
  • Machine learning for smart sensors
  • Structural health monitoring and utilities
  • Consumer electronics
  • Security and defense
  • Biomedical and health
  • Telecommunications

Our research is multidisciplinary as reflected in the build up of our team. Our team is composed of researchers with backgrounds from physics and chemistry, to integrated circuit design and micro-mechanics, to machine learning as core members.
