We often need to relay on the unrivaled physical and chemical properties of nanomaterials to achieve desired goals. However, in many cases these materials cannot be simply added to our process flows. We therefore conduct research on methods to incorporate these materials into our fabrication processes. When needed, we have teamed up with other researchers to actually synthesize molecules to our desired specifications.

Our materials-related research focuses on:
  • Nanofibrous materials for physical and chemical sensing
  • Smart textile
  • Nanocomposites
  • Chemical sensors including those for Ammonia (NH3), Methane (CH4), Humidity, and Volatile organic gas compounds.
